Telehealth
The current COVID 19 Pandemic has put a spotlight on telehealth services, including speech therapy. Parents of medically fragile children or those with compromised immune systems may be considering telehealth for safety reasons. Those who cannot access speech therapy services in a physical location or are looking for additional parent coaching opportunities may also view telehealth as a viable option. At Khan Speech Therapy, telehealth services are conveniently provided in your own home, in your own language, via a videoconferencing software. Call for more information.
Done well, there is very little difference between telehealth and face to face speech-therapy, and the results are similar.
The following equipment is required to participate in telehealth services:
— high-speed internet connection
— an email account or phone number
Khan Speech Therapy currently uses a HIPAA-compliant platform that can be accessed from any device that supports an internet connection, including smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
